Dagbani, also known as Dagbamba, Dagbane, Dagomba is a language of Ghana. It has over 1,100,000 users in the Northern region: northeast of Tamale, as far as Yendi.
Dagbane is a Recognized language (1951, Laws of the Gold Coast, Vernacular Literature Board Ordinance, as amended by Ordinance No. 44).
Nanuni is its dialect and shares lexical similarity with Mampruli, Farefare and Kusaal.
